Back at the warehouse, Dee, Robert, and Michael process her sudden takeover of the Candyland business. Michael explains Bianca’s grip on Windsor’s underworld. Despite hesitation, Robert agrees to work under her to fund Dee’s house repairs. Bianca reinforces control by having them driven to Robert’s mother’s house, sending a quiet message.

Meanwhile, Ronnie and Lashawn keep selling pills at a house party. At Candyland, Dee tracks sales obsessively. The party features a performance by Buddy, and Joey gets high after buying pills from Jubilee. A goth kid overdoses, and Tommy orders him dumped near a hospital to avoid cops—escalating the risks.

Later, Bianca summons Dee for breakfast and reveals plans to expand: a new, permanent club with Dee and Robert managing. She’s already paid for Dee’s home repairs, binding them tighter. Robert and Michael visit the massive venue, now transformed by Bianca.

The novella ends with Tommy trying to recruit Ronnie. Dee confronts him violently at Club Vertigo, warning him off. She then accepts Bianca’s dinner invite, realizing she’ll need strategy—not defiance—to survive what’s coming.
